Venturer Scouts is for males and females aged 15 to 17 who never turn down a good challenge and love to push themselves to their limits.

This could be scaling a 30m rock-face or abseiling into caves which would frighten most people but Venturer Scouts face the challenge head on and then go white water kayaking!

Venturer Scouts work in Units with other Venturer Scouts and given the freedom to choose their own activities, because we know they’ll be motivated to achieve when they’re passionate about what they do.

"As a Venturer Scout I’ve learnt the importance of challenging myself in order to grow. With the help of my friends at Scouts I’ve managed to experience some awesome things while working to achieve my goals, which is the best reward ever".

Venturer Scouts progress to the Rover Scout Section after their 18th birthday, with this progression completed by their 19th birthday.
Once 18, while still in Venturers, they are an adult and they would be required to meet all adult requirements including having a current Blue Card.
